Durham, N.C., January 28, 2021 – Today TransLoc, a Ford Mobility company, has been named one of the 2021 Best Workplaces for Commuters. For the second year in a row, TransLoc was recognized for providing an array of commuter benefits to employees which decreases the number of single occupancy vehicles on the roads and creates a positive environmental impact.

TransLoc is among a select group of workplaces in the United States that has achieved the Best Workplaces for Commuters National Standard of Excellence by providing commuter benefits that resulted in at least 14 percent of their employee base not driving alone to work within a 12-month period. TransLoc offers employees several commuter benefit options, including:

  • Transit pass subsidy of at least $30 per month
  • Teleworking program, which reduced at least 6 percent of commuting all employee commute trips
  • Emergency Ride Home program

“TransLoc is one of the top employers in the nation offering high level commuter benefits to their employees,” said Julie Bond, Program Manager of Best Workplaces for Commuters. “They made the list because they offer transportation choices that include telework, free transit fares, and access to Emergency Ride Home programs. TransLoc gives its employees the support they need to get to and from work and be at their best before, during, and after their workday.”

“Being a two-time winner of this distinction validates TransLoc's commitment to environmental sustainability by supporting transit and getting single occupancy vehicles off the road," said Julie Cox, Vice President of People at TransLoc. "Additionally, we strive to provide a positive work environment and work-life balance for our employees by supporting flexible work options through COVID-19."
