In Response to Growing Concern Around Coronavirus in Research Triangle Park Community
Effective immediately, Durham-based transportation technology company, TransLoc, has initiated an indefinite work from home policy in response to North Carolina’s State of Emergency in connection to coronavirus (COVID-19), and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ recommendation that “employers and employees in the Triangle should use teleworking technologies to the greatest extent possible.”
“At TransLoc, one of our key values is to put people first,” said TransLoc CEO Justin Rees. “When the NC Department of Health and Human Services said we should use teleworking technologies to the greatest extent possible, we took immediate action. Today, all Durham-based employees are receiving support to work from home until further notice.”
“We not only want to reduce exposure to our teams, but we understand that supporting remote work is a critical way to stop the virus from spreading within our communities,” said Julie Cox, TransLoc Director of People. “Our teams are accustomed to flexible work from home days, so we were prepared to move quickly.”
As part of Ford Mobility*, TransLoc’s sister companies, DoubleMap in Indianapolis and Ride Systems in Morgan, Utah, are closely monitoring the situation and are looking to their state authorities to determine appropriate action.
